As the nation’s first pediatric hospital, the Lurie Children’s Hospital has provided outstanding pediatric care for more than 130 years. In order to continue providing state-of-the-art care for serious pediatric illnesses, the hospital continues to rely on the support of community members through fundraisers such as the upcoming Move for the Kids 5K Walk/Run on May 17, 2015 at Soldier Field. Since the first race in 2005, more than 20,000 community members have come together to show their support, contributing over $2.5 million to ensure that the most vulnerable patients receive the care they need. For those unable to participate, showing support is now easier than ever by registering as a virtual runner for free and taking advantage of online fundraising tools from Lurie Children’s Hospital.
