When transportation magnate Perry Mandera, owner of The Custom Companies, sought charities for his foundation, Custom Cares, to support, he included the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Foundation. Established as the Lynn Sage Cancer Research Fund in 1985 to honor its namesake, who died of breast cancer at the age of 39, the organization has gained international recognition for its support of world-class patient care and state-of-the-art outreach programs. Since the group’s inception, Perry Mandera and other stakeholders have aided it in raising more than $25 million.
